The builders have commenced the fit out of the company's new factory which is expected to be completed in late September.
Once finished the factory staff will commence their final in-house training and fine tuning of their procedures prior to commencing production in September. The factory will aim to operate a 24 hour a day, 365 days a year in order to meet the soaring demand for its Clear Heater Central Heating System. It will provide some greatly needed employment for the city of Wakefield which is where the company's HQ is based.
Logicor takes on a new 12,500 square foot factory where it will build its Clear Heater Central Heating System.
The Logicor board took the decision to manufacture its flagship product here in the UK in 2012 but the current facility was just too small to cope with the level of orders.
"As the product was invented here in the UK we wanted it to be built here too. It's a big commitment but, we think the price differential between making this product elsewhere or here in the UK will be eroded by the quality of workmanship we are able to produce here in the UK. It also gives customers the opportunity, should they wish, to go to the factory to see their own systems being made."
David Bowen, Managing Director, Logicor (Group) Ltd
Sales of the Clear Heater system have begun and the first orders are already taken. We were very surprised at the speed and volume of the orders received. In fact we have sold our entire supply for the first year and we are having to make plans to increase the supply. This has resulted in the company taking on a larger warehouse facility to receive the stock.
Our tests show that the CHS system will save upwards of 50% when compared to your previous heating system but you have to make sure you compare like with like so you must run your CHS system at the same temperatures and durations as you did your previous systems to see those savings.
Installations will commence in late March with installers being trained in the installation of the system in early March.
With the completion of very successful field trials Logicor (CH) Ltd (the CH stands for central heating) is teaming up with Green Deal suppliers in order to get its new Clear Heater System out into the market.
So far things are going very well and we have several suppliers wanting to have the product. We have chosen more than one route to market and as a result we now have an agreement in place with a company to take these to market.
A full announcement will be made in March when it is estimated that the first systems will be installed.
Clear Heater field trials begin with deployment into our own offices.
We are already seeing a reduction of costs of heating at our own offices of between 50%-70% on average.
The heaters look great and we have already received useful feedback on the appearance leading us to introduce a chrome frame instead of the aluminium versions.
These replace a standard radiator in a standard room and are electrically driven. They simply plug into any mains socket so installation is easy.
